The SP50R-L10 is a 50W photovoltaic module capable of recharging batteries as a part of a complete power supply. It has an on-board voltage regulator. It is often used for system configurations that have higher-than-average power requirements, or in higher elevation and latitude locations. Its 10 ft cable has leads that connect directly to a 12 V Gel Cell or AGM lead acid battery. The SP50R-L10 has a sufficient charging source for the vast majority of our system configurations in northern latitudes. It allows unattended operation of systems in remote locations, far from AC electrical sources.
Read MoreThe SP50R-L10 includes the C1286 Mounting Kit for attaching the solar panel to a tripod or tower mast. The mounting hardware consisting of a mounting bracket with U-bolt and matching nuts. The U-bolt has a 2 inch space between the U-bolt legs. This hardware allows the solar panel to be mounted to a 0.75 in. to 1.5 in. IPS pipe [25.4 to 50.8 cm (1 to 2 in.) OD].
The SP50R-L10 is intended to recharge 12 V Gel Cell or AGM lead acid batteries, such as Campbell Scientific BP-Series batteries. The includes the BP8.5, BP12, BP26, BP37, BP42-L, and BP100-L batteries. It is not intended for user-supplied 12 V flooded batteries such as deep cycle marine or RV batteries.
-NOTE- | Solar panel characteristics assume 1 kW m-2 illumination and 25°C solar panel temperature. assume 1 kW m-2illumination and 25°C solar panel temperature. Individual panels may vary up to 10%. The output panel voltage increases as the panel temperature decreases. |
