Ordering Policies


Items shown on the published price list are subject to change without notice. CSC's price quotations shall be open only to unqualified acceptance by the customer in accordance with these General Terms and Conditions, and only within the 30 day period from the date of the quotation. CSC's prices and quotations do not include any charges or billable items from third-party purchasing agents, and CSC reserves the right at any time to adjust pricing and quotations to account for any such third-party purchasing agent charges or billable items. All travel expenses are billed at cost plus a 10% administration fee. CSC prices and quotations are subject to customer credit approval.


CSC warrants its products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service for twelve (12) months from date of shipment unless otherwise specified (refer to product and legend for additional details) on the Price List and subject to the following conditions:

CSC's obligation under this warranty is limited to repairing or replacing (at CSC's option) products which have been returned prepaid to CSC. CSC will return warranted equipment by surface carrier prepaid. This warranty shall not apply to any CSC products which have been subjected to misuse, neglect, and accidents of nature or shipping damage. Batteries are not warranted. Under no circumstances will CSC reimburse the claimant for costs incurred in removing and/or reinstalling equipment at a test site. This warranty and CSC's obligation thereunder, is in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied, including warranties of suitability and fitness for a particular purpose. CSC is not liable for consequential damages. In cases where returned equipment is found to be operating within specifications (i.e. no problem found) our standard repair and shipping charges will apply. 


Products may not be returned without a purchase order and a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number issued by our office. The RMA number must clearly appear on the shipping container, all documentation and the returned equipment. In order to accelerate the turnaround time and reduce the service charges, a detailed description of the problem should accompany the item to be repaired. Repair charges: $130.00/hour (minimum charge is 1 hour). CSC warrants that the repairs will be performed in a competent and workmanlike manner and that all parts used to repair your product will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of ninety (90) days, unless otherwise specified by CSC.

NOTE: Effective Jan 1, 2009 a “Product Cleanliness & Decontamination Form” is now required for all RMA’s.


Quantity discounts listed below are per line for item on same purchase order. Eligible sensors must all have identical cable lengths. Refer to the product in the price list and compare any related symbols to the legend to determine eligibility for quantity discounts.

NOTE: RM Young discounts do not apply to “CSC Spec” products or cabling. Refer to product descriptions for “CSC Spec” feature.


A 3% educational discount for products only on our published price list is available to universities, colleges and school boards ordering in quantities of 1 - 9 units only. When 10 or more units are ordered, only the quantity discount will be allowed. The educational discount is not available for the extended warranty, parts and labour including installation, training, consulting, or cable.

Net 30 days on approved credit, Visa or Master Card. Applications for credit are required for non-university institutions and non-government agencies.


CSC may, in its sole discretion extend credit to a Customer. To start the credit application process contact CSC to request the Application for Credit form and submit to CSC once complete. The review process typically takes 10-15 business days to complete. The application requires a Bank Reference and three Trade References be submitted. If credit is extended, payment terms will be Net 30 days, unless otherwise specified by CSC. Customer will be charged a finance fee of 1½% per month of any amount past due until paid.


All shipments are F.O.B. Edmonton Plant with shipping charges (includes freight, handling & insurance) prepaid and added to the invoice as a separate item. Orders can be shipped collect upon request.


End User bears the responsibility of ensuring all equipment purchased from Campbell Scientific (Canada) Corp. meets regulatory and safety requirements according to the end use of the equipment. 


The US Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) may limit exports of USA made goods to certain individuals and organizations. A license application may need to be completed and submitted to CSC before equipment can be shipped. 


CSC will use all reasonable efforts to meet any estimated timelines or due dates for the delivery of any product(s). If no dates are specified, delivery will typically be 45 days A.R.P.O. (After Receipt of Purchase Order). CSC reserves the right to apply an expediting fee when deemed necessary; after customer consultation. The expediting fee may be applied at a minimum rate of 15% to the total amount invoiced, with a minimum charge of $50.00.


The Goods and Services Tax (GST) or the Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) is indicated as a separate item on all invoices. Agencies who are GST or HST Exempt must provide an appropriate valid exemption number, stamp or certificate at the time of ordering. 


Under some circumstances, CSC may approve the return of unused products for exchange or credit. CSC is under no obligation to the customer to accept the return of any product. Specialty items such as custom cable length sensors or any non-standard products that are not included on this Price List may not be returned. A Reshelving Fee will be applied at a minimum rate of 15% of the invoiced price of the item(s) with a minimum charge of $50.00. CSC must issue an RMA number prior to the return of any product. All shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer and are in addition to the Reshelving Fee.


Items being returned for calibration which have been prepaid must have an RMA number. The procedures for returning these items are the same as outlined in the “Equipment Repair” and “Shipping Policy” sections on this page.

NOTE: Shipping charges & repair parts will be an extra charge as they are not covered in the PCAL price. 


Campbell Scientific (Canada) Corp. reserves the right to assess a 15% surcharge for cancellation of any purchase order in whole or in part for standard products listed on this published Price List. Specialty items such as custom cable length sensors or any non-standard products that are not included on this Price List may not be cancelled once the purchase order is received.


Claims must be reported to Campbell Scientific (Canada) Corp. within seven (7) working days after delivery of goods to the customer.
