FileFormatConvert

Mariela Dec 20, 2016 10:35 AM

Hi all.

You have been very helpful in the past, i hope you can help me again.

With your help i can use the FileFormatConvert in order to split a large amount of data spreading on weeks into individual days. However, this data file is constantly written to, so new days are added. However, if i run the FFC i can't seem to find the way to convert only from the last converted date. When i use the "bale info" to set the last date that was used, it seems to have no affect and all the file is converted from the beginning.

Is there a way in which a file can be converted only from a certain date?

Thanks in advance,

Mariela.

To do what you are describing, you will need to use Split. Split is installed as part of our software.

Here is another forum post where a customer used Split to break up a large data file:

Once you have the parameter file created for Split, you can use the TaskMaster in Loggernet to run it on a schedule.

Another option to consider is CardConvert. You can find it under the Data category of the LoggerNet toolbar. You would need to have LoggerNet collect data in binary format then run CardConvert with the Destination File Option of "Use Time."

Use Custom Collect to test it out.
