CR1000 changing radiation sensor

Hi there!

I need to change an old (solar radiation) sensor from Apogee to a new one (CM3 Pyranometer).

so how can I proceed? Do I have to use SHORT CUT or CRBasic? How can I do that?

Hi,

You should use CRBASIC, you can modify the program, which you are already using. You will need to change / use the new sensor multiplier. In the program you will have a VOLTSE or VOLTDIFF instruction to read the sensor mV, in that program line you have to replace the old mult value which converted the mV into solar radiation ( W/m2 or KW/m2 Pay attention to this!) with the new number / calibration of the new sensor.
