Our Ideal Candidate:

  • Post-secondary diploma in an engineering technology or instrumentation engineering technology program, equivalencies may be considered
  • Previous manufacturing or production experience is preferred
  • Experience with soldering and tool operation is an asset
  • Proactive in asking questions while being driven to learn and grow
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work within deadlines, in changing environments, and in both individual and team settings
  • Possesses a growth mindset along with a high level of emotional intelligence (EQ)

 

About The Role

  • Build, test, and finish (in whole, or in part), all products manufactured by Campbell Scientific Canada utilizing production maps or instructions, complete potting of sensors. Perform minor repairs and mechanical assembly
  • Perform work on electronics including: cable assemblies, stuffing and calibrating circuit boards, quality assurance, and testing for functionality, quality and temperature tolerance
  • Perform product coordination and the creation of both work instructions and additional production tools
  • Perform quality assurance and quality control activities, while creating efficiencies
  • Work towards process and communication improvement while following the key practices of lean production
  • Plays a key role in developing and leading improvement projects within the operations department
  • Maintain a safe work environment
  • Occasional heavy lifting of up to 50 lbs may be required
