snow water equivalent

Accurately measuring snow water equivalent (SWE) can be a difficult and costly undertaking. Current technologies and methodology all have their pros and cons. We are hosting three free information sessions to discuss a new, non-contact SWE measurement technology, made possible with the CS725, the Campbell Scientific Snow Water Equivalent Sensor.

What you will learn

  • The benefits of using a non-contact technology
  • How the CS725 solves some of the existing inaccuracy problems of standard SWE measurment technologies
  • Cost savings associated with using the CS725 over other technology

Who should attend

  • Hydro Power forecasters, etc.
  • Flood forecasters
  • Snow water equivalent researchers

What attendees will walk away with

  • A better understanding of comparable SWE measurement technologies and costs
  • An understanding of the CS725 sensor
