Overview

Kipp & Zonen's SMP11 smart pyranometer combines class leading sensor technology with industry standard digital and analogue amplified outputs. Based on the proven CMP 11 technology the SMP11 adds Modbus® interface, improved response time and temperature corrected measurement data. The wide and low power supply range from 5 to 30 VDC makes integration in meteorological stations easy. The SMP is protected against over voltage, reversed polarity and short circuiting. Because  all SMP’s have identical sensitivity and connections exchanging instruments for recalibration is easy.

PC Software for data logging, display of data and Modbus® address setting is standard provided.

SMP11 measures incoming global solar radiation with a 180° field of view. Ideal for solar radiation measurements in both Meteorological and Solar Energy applications that require the Modbus protocol or amplified outputs.

Compatibility

Mounting

Kipp & Zonen's CMP10 has a bubble level and two leveling feet, which allow it to be leveled without using a leveling base. The 015 Mounting Arm can be used to mount the sensor to a mast or the CM225 Solar Sensor Mounting Stand can be used to attach the sensor to a mast, crossarm, or pole (1.0-in. to 2.1-in. outer diameter).

Alternatively, the CM245 Adjustable Angle Mounting Stand may be used. It includes slots that can be adjusted to any angle from horizontal to vertical. The CM255LS allows for easier pyranometer levelling. The L31153 can also be used to mount a pyranometer housed inside of the CVF4 heater/ventilator.
