At Campbell Scientific Canada, our Core Purpose is “Always striving to make the best measurement possible”. However, the best measurement isn’t always easy to take. Data acquisition systems can be complex and often need programming to get the data you require. We’ve heard from clients that sometimes equipment can be too technically complicated and we understand that not everyone understands the nuts-and-bolts of these complex systems. We have made it our mission to ensure clients are making the best, most scientifically accurate measurements they can so their data tells them the right story. After all, decisions made on this data have profound impacts on our communities.
So, we decided to make Campbell Scientific measurement products easier to use. Our ambition led us to develop a manufacturing capacity at our office in Edmonton, Alberta so we could incorporate client feedback and begin making new, easy-to-use products. As a result, we’ve launched 3 new products within the last 6 months. This is more products than we’ve launched in the last 6 years! An accomplishment we are very proud of and excited to build on.
When we say ‘Soft’ we mean software
Our three new products include:
1) the CS225 Temperature String, an extremely rugged temperature profiler that can be buried or pulled through a conduit without coming apart. Check out how thoroughly we tested this string!
2) the COM9602 Short Burst Data (SBD) Modem, which when paired with our data management services offers unparalleled value for SBD transmission
3) the CCFC Field Camera, our newest camera that is completely configurable, but also easy to operate due to its new user interface (UI). Creating software that focuses on modern User Experience (UX) standards and best practices was important to us, because it’s important to our clients. And our focus on easy-to-use software didn’t end there.

Introducing EasyLync - A new Campbell Scientific datalogger UI
Next up, is a brand new user interface that connects you to your Campbell Scientific datalogger. This unique interface enables users to easily connect to and configure their datalogger, preview and download data, and create graphs and data visualizations - without ANY programming. We’re working with top developers from Germany to ensure the software’s ease-of-use.
