Campbell Scientific (Canada) Corp. (CSC) is an ISO 9001 certified, Canadian-controlled, private corporation providing end-to-end monitoring systems and data analysis through our decision support software, WeatherBrain, allowing our clients around the globe to make confident operational decisions. Road Weather Information Systems (RWIS) – as an industry leader, CSC has supplied, installed, operated, and maintained hundreds of RWIS stations across Canada, including municipal and provincial projects in British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario and Quebec.
Precipitation Monitoring – CSC continues to expand its total number of precipitation monitoring networks across Canada, with the most recent project including installation, maintenance and decision support services for a major Canadian municipality.
Agriculture – CSC's hardware and automated stations have been used in both day-to-day and research-related agricultural activities by large commercial and private farms, agriculture engineers, and agronomy researchers alike, to provide accurate, reliable data.
Fire Weather – CSC began installing, operating and maintaining fire-weather systems in 1989 for the Department of Defense, CFB Gagetown, NB. CSC has since continued to grow the Department of National Defense's diverse network of systems, as well as a larger network of client systems across Canada.
Water Management – for over 35 years, CSC has designed and installed water-related systems to monitor everything from water quality, level and flow, to dam infrastructure and aquaculture, for both private companies and government agencies.
Campbell Scientific (Canada) Corp. also excels in the areas of weather, climate, vehicle testing, structural monitoring, geotechnical monitoring, mining, and air quality. CSC system installation, operation, maintenance and training are provided as part of CSC's full suite of field services.
WeatherBrain is innovative decision support software that enhances CSC's end-to-end monitoring systems by providing actionable environmental intelligence. WeatherBrain pulls environmental data from CSC's network of systems, or integrates with a client's existing systems, for analysis within the platform, producing actionable insights from which recommendations and/or automated actions can be triggered. WeatherBrain makes confident decision-making a reality for anyone whose job is impacted by environmental factors.
In 1981, CSC established a repair and service group. The highly skilled technicians in this group focus on diagnosis and repair, a more cost-effective and efficient solution to replacing parts, which also means less downtime for a client's systems.
CSC is equipped with a comprehensive collection of test equipment that's serviced and calibrated yearly to NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) values. A series of environmental freezers and state-of-the-art chambers test electronic equipment over the range of -55°C to +80°C, ensuring CSC products operate to specification under the harshest of conditions.
CSC offers hands-on training workshops for clients requiring a better understanding of Campbell Scientific's systems or software. General and advanced data acquisition workshops provide a solid understanding of CSC systems and how they can be applied. Customized workshops are also available, and are tailored to ensure the training provided meets the specific needs of a client.
The facilities at CSC are staffed by highly efficient and experienced personnel who manufacture and assemble sensors, instruments, custom systems and WeatherBrain networks. Large production efforts are performed in accordance with certified ISO 9001 QMS processes, including assembly and final functional testing. CSC maintains optimized inventory levels for in-house products as well as distributed third-party products including Campbell Scientific Inc., R.M. Young Company, Kipp & Zonen, Hach Company, OTT Hydromet, UTC Aerospace Systems, GEONOR Inc., Lufft, and many more.
