Campbell Scientific's EC155 is a closed-path analyzer specifically designed for eddy-covariance flux measurements. It is sold as the principle component in our CPEC200 Closed-Path Eddy-Covariance System.

The EC155 simultaneously measures absolute carbon-dioxide and water-vapor densities, sample cell temperature, and pressure. With the optional CSAT3A sonic anemometer head, the EC155 also measures three-dimensional wind speed and sonic air temperature.

Benefits and Features

  • Slim aerodynamic shape for minimal wind distortion and body heating
  • Low power consumption—suitable for solar-powered applications
  • Optimal colocation of analyzer and wind measurement
  • Low noise
  • Tolerant to window contamination
  • Fully compatible with Campbell Scientific dataloggers; field setup, configuration, and field zero and span can be accomplished directly from the datalogger
  • Extensive set of diagnostic parameters to warn of questionable data
  • Field serviceable (easy access to chemical bottles)
  • Factory calibrated over wide range of CO2, H2O, pressure and temperature in all combinations encountered in practice
  • Measurements are temperature compensated without active heat control
  • Maximum output rate of 50 Hz with 25 Hz bandwidth
