Submersible Pressure Transducer, SDI-12 Output

General Description

The CS445 outputs a digital SDI-12 signal to indicate observed pressure level; the SDI-12 signal is measured and recorded by the datalogger. The static accuracy is ±0.1% over a 0° to 50°C temperature range. The CS445 is manufactured by Remote Monitoring Technologies (previously known as KWK Technologies and ACData Solutions).

The CS445's cable is vented and jacketed in polyurethane (compatible with most non-hostile environments). It contains a vent tube so that the sensor head can reach equilibrium with atmospheric pressure. As the vent tube connects directly with the back side of the sensor's diaphragm, water vapor must be removed from air entering the vent tube. This helps to protect the sensor head from mildew, corrosion, rust, and also prevents formation of a liquid column in the vent tube, which will directly affect the measurement.
