General Description

The CR510 dataloggers are a smaller version of our popular CR10X dataloggers. They provide a lower-cost datalogger alternative for measurements of a limited number of sensors, yet can be used with most of our telecommunication devices such as cellular telephones, RF UHF/VHF RF modems, and satellite transceivers. The CR510-series dataloggers use external power supplies and keyboard displays. They are not compatible with multiplexers, SDM devices, or thermocouples.

Specifications

  • Analog inputs: 4 single-ended or 2 differential, individually configured
  • Pulse counters: 2
  • Switched volt. excitations: 2
  • Control/digital ports: 1
  • Scan rate: 64 Hz
  • Analog volt. resolution: to 0.33 uV
  • A/D bits: 13

Physical Description

The CR510 was designed to provide a rugged datalogger with a low per unit cost. Some of its distinguishing physical features are:
  • The CR510 does not have an integral keyboard/display. The user accesses the CR510 with the portable CR10KD Keyboard Display or with a computer or terminal.
  • The power supply is external to the CR510. This gives the user a wide range of options for powering the CR510.

CR510 Operating Systems

The CR510 is shipped with the Array-Based operating system unless another is specified. Operating systems can be upgraded as new instructions become available, or changed to meet customer needs. Available operating systems are:
  • Mixed Array Operating System (default). Contains 31 measurement instructions, 46 processing/math instructions, and 21 program control instructions. For a complete list of instructions included in the Array-Based OS, see the Operator's manual.
  • Table Data Operating System (OS510TD/U). Allows the CR510 to store the final storage data in the form of a table.
  • PakBus Table Data Operating System (OS510PB/U). Allows the CR510 to communicate with CR200-series dataloggers in the same network. Final storage data is stored in table format.
  • Modbus Array-Based Operating System (OS510MB/U). Supports the Modbus protocol which allows the CR510 to interface with SCADA and MMI software packages.
  • ALERT Operating System (OS510AL/U). Allows the CR10X to store and transmit data in the ALERT format (flood warning system).
