General Description

The CR206X consists of a small, low-cost unit that can be used as a wireless sensor or simple datalogger. It includes an internal 915 MHz spread spectrum radio for transmitting data to another CR206(X), an RF401 radio, an RF430 radio, or an AVW206 interface. The 915 MHz frequency is used in the US and Canada.

The CR206X datalogger uses an external power supply, and has a built-in regulator. Its single-ended input channel configuration is optimal for measuring one or two simple sensors. However, the CR206X does not make differential measurements and is not compatible with SDM devices, multiplexers, or thermocouples. Recalibration services are not offered for the CR200X-series loggers.

CR206X and CR206 Differences
The CR206X replaced the CR206 in December 2009. The CR206X allows 128 public variables instead of 48 and allows eight tables instead of four. The compiled CRBasic program of a CR206X datalogger can be two times larger than the compiled CRBasic program of a CR206 datalogger. For the CR206X, all supported CRBasic instructions are in a single operating system version.
