General Description

The CR200-series consists of low-cost units that can be used as wireless sensors or as simple dataloggers. The CR205 and 206 contain on-board spread spectrum radios that support different frequency ranges; the CR200 does not have a radio. All the CR200-series loggers use an external power supply. Their input channel configuration and packaging are optimal for one or two sensors; they are not compatible with multiplexers, pyranometers, SDM devices, or thermocouples.

In September 2005, the CR205 Datalogger was replaced by the CR206 Datalogger. The CR206 has improved communication capability. The CR205 can be used within a CR206 network, but some restrictions apply. Contact Campbell Scientific for details.
