General Description

The CG1 Pyrgeometer is designed for unattended infrared radiation (IR) measurements from 5 to 50 µm, and is suitable for both atmospheric and material testing research applications.

To determine incoming sky, or surface emitted infrared radiation, the output signal voltage of the CG1 thermopile sensing element, the CG1 body temperature (via the standard internal PT-100 RTD body temperature sensor), and the CG1 calibration coefficient, all must be taken into account to derive irradiance (in W/m2 units).

The CG1 is calibrated upon manufacture and is delivered with a certificate of calibration, indicating instrument sensitivity in µVm2/W.
