General DescriptionThe 023/CO2 Flow Controller is designed to measure evapotranspiration using the energy balance Bowen Ratio techniques. Variables measured are: CO2, dew point, air temperature at two heights, net radiation, and soil heat flux. The air temperature is either measured with type E fine wire thermocouples or the ASPTC-L aspirated thermocouple. The 023/CO2 uses an LI-6262 CO2/H2O analyzer (purchased separately) to measure gradients and absolute concentrations of both CO2 and H2O. The enclosure includes a pump, flow controllers, bottles that hold soda lime and desiccant, and a mounting bracket for the LI-6262. Data retrieval peripherals are typically added to complete the system. Additional meteorologic sensors can be added to provide information on wind speed and direction, incoming shortwave solar radiation, and an independent measurement of air temperature and relative humidity. |
