Bowen Ratio Systems (Discontinued)

Bowen Ratio Systems The components of these systems are designed to measure evapotranspiration using the energy balance Bowen ratio techniques. Variables measured are: water and air temperature at two heights, net radiation, and soil heat flux. Data retrieval peripherals are typically added to complete the system. Additional meteorological sensors can be added to provide information on wind speed and direction, incoming shortwave solar radiation, and an independent measurement of air temperature and relative humidity.

023/CO2 Bowen Ratio Flow Controller
  • Measures water vapor, carbon dioxide, and temperature gradients using energy balance Bowen ratio techniques
  • Key system components:
    • CR23X Micrologger (purchased separately)
    • Li-Cor 6262 CO2 and H2O analyzer to measure gradients and absolute concentration of both CO2 and H2O (purchased separately from Li-Cor)
  • Variables measured:
  • 023/CO2 includes:
    • Mounting bracket for LI-6262
    • Solenoid valves
    • Flow controllers
    • Soda lime and desiccant bottles
    • Diaphragm pump
    • 16 " x 18" enclosure

    • Air intake
    • One 25 um Air Intake Filter within holder
    • Thermocouple connector
    • 10 ft thermocouple wire
    • 7 ft air intake tubing
  • Requires one TCBR-3 (purchased separately)

  • Includes:
    • Air intake
    • One 25 um Air Intake Filter within holder
    • Thermocouple connector
    • 10 ft thermocouple wire
    • 7 ft air intake tubing
  • Requires one TCBR-3 (purchased separately)

  • Four TCBR-3 Bowen Ratio Thermocouple or two ASPTC Aspirated Thermocouples
  • HFT3 Heat Flux Transducer (minimum of two)
  • NR Lite Net Radiometer or CNR1 Net Radiometer
  • TCAV Averaging Soil Thermocouple Probe (recommend one probe per pair of heat flux plates
  • CS616 Water Content Reflectometer
