General Description

The L1049 is a NU-RAIL® Slip-on Offset Crossover fitting commonly used to connect a 3/4 inch pipe to a 1.0 inch diameter pipe. "Slip-on" refers to the fact that the two ovoid segments of the fitting each accept one length of pipe which is secured to the fitting by means of a set screw that is tightened with an Allen wrench. In the case of the L1049, one pipe is 3/4 inch diameter, the other is 1.0 inch diameter.

"Offset crossover" indicates the two segments of the fitting are oriented to each other at a 90° angle, in field use this effectively allows a vertical length of pipe to be secured to a horizontal pipe length.
