General Description

The AVW200 Vibrating Wire Module allows our dataloggers to measure vibrating wire or vibrating strip transducers. The AVW200 eliminates the problem of incorrect readings due to noise sources. The noise problems were overcome by an advancement in technology and mathematical processing, resulting in frequency based measurements-a complete departure from previous time-domain based measurements.

The AVW200 module is designed to work with and compliment Campbell Scientific dataloggers, as well as data acquisition products from other manufacturers. Communications between the interface and datalogger are RS-232 or SDI-12.

Up to two vibrating wire or vibrating strip transducers can be connected to the AVW200. The number of vibrating wire sensors measured can be increased by connecting the module to an AM16/32B multiplexer.
