General Description

The 223 estimates soil water potential from 0.1 to 10 bars. It is identical to the 227 but configured for use with an AM16/32 multiplexer.

When the 223 is wet, electrical resistance is low. As the 223 dries, resistance increases. Calibration of individual probes is recommended for accurate soil water potential measurements. We recommend that probes be removed during winter. Expected life is two freeze-thaw cycles.
